WECF advocates women's rights on health and the environment in Bosnia Herzegovina

WECF member Viktorija99, a women's organization in Jajce, Bosnia, organized a three day gender meeting with women NGOs of the whole region from the second till the fourth of March 2008 in its hometown.

The meeting combined a fair with local produced food and crafts made by the women, an exchange of experiences between the various women's organizations and a roundtable with representatives of local authorities, media and women NGOs. The roundtable addressed issues like the barriers for women and the importance of including women in local community councils, as well as advocating for increased attention to issues of women's health and the environment.
