Letter asking EU Commissioners not to approve proposed limits for POPs in waste

A new website has been created to support a campaign on POPs limits in waste. The website support the campaign Keep the Promise. Visit this site if you want to contact the EU to not approve the proposed too high limits of Persistent Organic Pollutants in solide waste.

There is also letter signed by 106 NGOs, experts and deputies asking EU Commissioners not to approve proposed limits for POPs in waste. Their decision will influence set up of these limits under Stockholm Convention as well.

We are looking for hot spots showing that proposed limits for POPs in wastes are very weak and will allow large contamination by POPs.
