Ekoloji Tarazlig mission statement
We are committed to a sustainable future and to improving the social, economic and environmental well being of the current and future generations by effective management of nature resources, development of ecological friendly technologies and promotion of clean development mechanisms, reduction of greenhouse gaseous emissions and development of climate change mitigation activities and climate change adaptation measures, usage of alternative sources of energy and energy efficiency materials and technologies, development of partnership and friendly neighboring policy.
ABOUT EKOT
Ekoloji Tarazlig (EKOT) is a non-profit, non-governmental membership organization dedicated to the protection of the environment and for the conservation of biological diversity in order to maintain the integrity of the ecosystems for the benefit of all humans."
The organization was founded in June 1999 by concerned Azerbaijan citizens and who are very much aware of the environmental and social problems affecting the community. EKOT is an officially recognized non-governmental organization (NGO) registered as a non-profit organization, under the legislation of Azerbaijan Repuiblik. As a scientific and educational organization, the aims and objectives of EKOT NGO are to promote interest in environmental protection, development of environmentally friendly technologies and alternative sources of energy, promotion of organic agriculture and "free chemicals" future for young generation, gender balance and strengthening of public awareness in environmental matters and decision-making in environmental matters.
