Women Major Group response to the High Level Panel Post 2015 report: "by far not good enough!"

Global Sustainable Development Goals as proposed by Eminent Persons report to UN Secretary General, have some good aspects but are not ambitious enough and fail to bring the necessary change

31.05.2013 |Reflection on the High Level Panel post 2015 report by members of the Women’s Major Group

A critical analysis by the Women Major Group members  on the High-level Panel (HLP) of Eminent Persons report released yesterday night with recommendations for the Post 2015 Development Agenda  sees many positive points, but a great need for strengthening specific targets.

The report of the High Level Panel Report of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda is a good starting point for discussion, but we look to the world's governments to be far more ambitious and focused on addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality inherent to the existing economic paradigm, as they negotiate the next sustainable development framework in the Open Working Group on SDGs and the MDG / post 2015 process.
