Cheap and safe sanitation solutions for Chinese earthquake victims

Chinese urine diverting slab designer and contact person for the supply of slabs for WECF school sanitation projects helps victims in earth quake area with cheap and safe sanitation solutions

Lin Jiang is the designer of the urine diverting slabs, which WECF is using in its schoolprojects. He is currently helping out victims of the earthquake in China by providing them with dry urine diverting toilets.

"So far it is hard to say how long the victims stay in the temporary tents, but I am quite sure the dry toilet could be used at least three years, also if they move it is still easy to reuse the slabs, in this case the cheaper the better. Apart from that ecological toilets not only look nice, they do not need any chemical control to prevent diseases and to repel insects. Other toilets have to be sprayed with a lot of chemicals which also pollutes the environment".
Lin Jiang is leaving again for Sichuan today, as the people there need support urgently.
