WECF finds Atrazine in Sipot water

Still too high levels of pesticides in drinking Water Romanian project village

As part of the project "Sustainable Development for All" WECF and it's Romanian partners GeoSan and the women's club FVC, regularly control the drinking water wells of the village Garla Mare in Romania on pollutants. The latest results on pesticides in the drinking water wells shows continues too high levels of Atrazine, used for maize, and proven to be a hormone-disrupting chemical, in the 'cleanest' village well, called "Sipot"
