A number of  recent studies confirm the rise of an eco-conscious, or 'green' consumer base. Where are the greenest shoppers?

The research reveals that over two-thirds (69%) of  Brazilians say that they would be prepared to pay a premium for  environmentally sound products, making them the most green-minded  consumers of those in all the countries analysed.  An impressive  88% of people in Brazil  also believe that people have a duty to recycle.
Elsewhere in the world, large proportions of consumers living in Iran, Spain  and France  say that it's worth paying more for products which don't harm the  environment.  Least likely to say they would pay more to 'buy  green' are the British, Americans and Germans. use their  purchasing power to shape environmentally friendly markets.
