Day of the Regions

Regional-Movement set up a German Federal Association

12.05.2005 |Sabine Brückmann

In April 2005 more than 200 people came together in Feuchtwangen a little village in Bavaria on the occasion of the second federal-meeting of the regional movement. They did not only participate in a 3-day Symposium, but also took time for networking.

Since the first “Day of the Regions” in 1999, it was one of the basic goals, to set up regional economic cycles. At first a local idea, the Day of the Region became a nation-wide action, which now is organized by two “Coordination-Offices” in South- and North-Germany. A wide spectrum of partners initiates every year arround the 3th of October (Thanksgiving) a lot of activities with regional issues.
