UN Climate Change Conference Gender-Agenda in Bonn

With the Climate Change Conference taking place in Bonn, many events focusing on gender are scheduled around it. WECF will be taking part as member of GGCA.
- Every day: 9-10am – UNFCCC Women & Gender Caucus meeting (MoE, Room Air).
- 5. June, 13:00: GGCA member meeting at the coffee bar outside Saal Maritim.
- 5. June, 14:00: strategy session on gender decision at the couches at the Maritim entrance.
- 6. June, 9-10am: Preperation meeting for meeting with Christiana Figueres (will overlap with the caucus meeting for 30 minutes) in MoE, Room Air.
- 6. June, 14:00-15:30: Meeting with Christiana Figueres (venue to be announced).
- 7. June, 13:15-14:45: Side event, ‘Promoting gender balance & empowerment of women in the UNFCCC process’, at Solar in MoE. The event will be co-hosted by GGCA, MRFCJ, UN Women & UNFCCC.
- 7. June, 18:00: Launch event, 'Getting gender right in the REDD+ Social and Environmental Standards', GSI. The event will be hosted by WEDO, in collaboration with REDD+ SES Initiative.
- 11. June , 13:15-14:45: Side event, ‘Gender innovations: strategies to address “gender” in climate change policy’, at Metro (MoT). The event will be co-hosted by GGCA, LIFE & WEDO.
