I am pleased to invite you to our second gender picnic to be held from 14:00 to 15:30 in the Maritim Conference Centre in Bonn on 6 June, 2013.
Since the first encounter, thanks to your efforts, the COP in Doha adopted Decision 23/CP.18 on ‘Promoting gender balance and improving the participation of women in UNFCCC negotiations and in the representation of Parties in bodies established pursuant to the Convention or the Kyoto Protocol’. This decision is a major milestone in bringing women’s voices into global climate governance and decision-making. At this occasion, you will have an opportunity to exchange views on the implementation of the decision, including the approach to and the design of the in-session workshop at COP19.
A light lunch will be served at the event. The exact location of the meeting will be confirmed at a later stage.
