WECF was a speaker at the International Network on Children’s Health, Environment and Safety (INCHES), September 14-16, in Barcelona. The conference focused on the link between children’s health and the environment. 130 participants from more than 30 countries took part and presented the latest scientific results from research on environmental impacts on children’s health.

WECF, represented by Johanna Hausman, presented a civil society perspective on EDCs and children’s exposure. WECF focused specifically on how to work together for a better policy and more protection from the negative impacts of hazardous chemicals on children’s health. Focusing on Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals, EDCs, WECF calls the INCHES conference to publish a statement for a strong EDC regulation in the European Union and worldwide. The presentation is available here.

INCHES will produce a Video Declaration after the conference on the most important issues in the scientific and policy field of children’s environmental health.
